Troy Allen, 78, of Black Mountain, passed away April 24, 2017 at the John F. Keever Solace Center.
Mr. Allen was born September 12, 1938 in Elizabethtown, IL to the late James and Sara Allen. Troy served in the US Marine Corps for 2 years and in the US Navy for 20 years. He loved God, his family, and his church family at Elizabethtown General Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by six sisters and three brothers.
Troy is survived by his wife, Juanita Allen; daughter, Paula Gentry; son, Ricky Allen (Janet); step sons, Robert Webb and Mitch Webb (Mary); ten grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, April 28, 2017 at 12:30 pm at Harwood Home for Funerals. Burial will follow at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday, April 27, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
