Condolence From: Elizabeth Muther Carlson
Condolence: Bertha was a dear friend and mentor to me in my early years as a Girl Scout professional in the Pisgah Council. I was last able to visit Bertha in October 2015 and we had a very pleasant time out in the countryside viewing the autumn foliage.
Bertha lived a very full life and brought joy and happiness to many throughout the years. I give thanks that her Spirit is now with our Maker.

Condolence: I'm sorry not to have been there when Bertha was passing. I was gone on vacation. Bertha was so special. She had a heart for others and helped many. She will surely be missed. I have had the opportunity to take care of Bertha for a long time and I considered her a great friend. Her family and friends will be in my thoughts and prayers. I have to work tomorrow and will be unable to come to her service. God bless all of you.
