Obituary for Louise Slagle (Effler)

Louise Effler Slagle, 84, of Black Mountain, passed away August 15, 2017.
Louise was born January 1, 1933 in McDowell County to the late Sylvester and Bertie Effler. She was a member of Kerlee Heights Baptist Church. Louise was a loving wife, mother and friend.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, JP Slagle; and siblings, Dorothy Poteat, Bud Effler, Lois Crisp, and Pearl Anglin.
She is survived by her sons, Jerry Slagle and Robert Slagle; siblings, Myrtle Turner and Ed Effler; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.
