Obituary for Martha Edmonds "Marty" Bane
Martha “Marty” Edmonds Bane, 75, of Swannanoa passed away Thursday, October 26, 2017.
Mrs. Bane was born April 3, 1942 in Buncombe County to the late Ralph and Hassie Edmonds. Marty retired from Charles D. Owen Mfg. with over 25 years of service and enjoyed working in the yard.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her infant daughter, Sherry Lee McMahan.
Marty is survived by her husband, Tom Bane; daughters, Cindy Tomblin (Rogers) of Rutherfordton and Pam Harris (Greg) of Chattanooga, TN; sisters, Barbara Sprinkle and Peggy Penninger; grandchildren, Jeff Tomblin, Becky Dodge, Nathan Harris and Mandy Robinson; and 10 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Monday, October 30, 2017 from 12:00pm to 2:00pm with a Celebration of Life Service immediately following in the chapel of Harwood Home for Funerals. Burial will be in Piney Grove Cemetery.
