Roy Lee Bartlett, 85, of Swannanoa passed away Friday, December 15, 2017.
Mr. Bartlett was born January 19, 1932 in Buncombe County to the late Clyde and Pearl Robinson Bartlett.
He was a man of God and a member of Grove Stone Baptist Church. Roy was a very intelligent man, graduating from Liberty University at the age of 75. Roy was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great grandfather. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him.
Roy is survived by his wife, Minnie Bartlett; daughters, Jeany Bartlett and Carolyn Deal; sons, Randy Bartlett (Marcia), Gary Bartlett (Karen), and David Bartlett (Beth); sister, Ola Mae Vess (Ray); 12 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren and one on the way.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, December 18, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Grove Stone Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Long and Rev. James Lamb officiating.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
Burial will be in the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.
