Obituary for Gladys Searcy (Ownbey)
Gladys Ownbey Searcy, 91, of Rock Hill, SC formerly of Gerton, NC passed away Monday, January 8, 2018.
Mrs. Searcy was born June 24, 1926 in Buncombe County to the late Wesley and Addie Ownbey.
She was a member of Bear Wallow Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ray Searcy; son, Chuck Searcy; niece whom she raised, Betty Dalton; and several brothers and sisters.
Gladys is survived by her two grandchildren, Steven and Ryan Searcy; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at 1:00pm in Bear Wallow Cemetery, Gerton, NC.
