Willa Mae Roberts passed away to her heavenly home February 13, 2018 at age 79. Willa Mae is survived by her daughter Marilyn J. Roberts, her sister Judith Ann Holcombe and husband Lonnie of Horse Shoe, her niece Lynn Ingle and husband Daniel of Asheville, her nephew Dennis Shipman, 2 great nieces, 3 great nephews and 1 great great niece. She was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Floyd M. Roberts and her parents Darvis D. Summey and Ruby E. Summey.
Willa Mae worked for the Biltmore dairy bar in her younger years and then was blessed to be able to stay at home and be a wife and mother. Later in life she owned and operated “The gift box” gift shop on Haywood road in West Asheville for many years. She had a great love for animals and enjoyed caring for her cats. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
A graveside service is planned for Tuesday February 20, 2018 at Pisgah View Memorial Park in Candler at 3:00 p.m. Reverend Ken Sausedo will officiate the service.
