Albrecht Emile Steinlein, 89, of Black Mountain died peacefully on February 27, 2018 at Fleshers Fairview Health Care Center.
He was born June 20, 1928 in Djakarta, Indonesia. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorijn Cornelia Purvis Steinlein; and son, Ralph Steinlein.
Albrecht is survived by his daughter, Bea Madden (Joe) of Asheville; sons, Erwin Steinlein (Katharine) of Graham, WA, and Jeffery Steinlein of Arizona; grandchildren, Jason Madden (Erin), Patrick Madden (Shyran), Elizabeth Lundin (David), Stephen Steinlein (Megan), Matthew Steinlein (Kathleen), Jonathan Steinlein, Eric Steinlein (September), Brandon Steinlein, Tyler Steinlein, and Danielle Steinlein; great grandchildren, Brandon Madden, Mikal Lundin, Elin Lundin, Summer Steinlein, Seattle Steinlein, and Liam Steinlein; and two other important people in his life, Bonnie Steinlein and Shelley Steinlein.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, March 8, 2018, at 11:00am at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Swannanoa with Father Matt Leonard officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 102 Andrews Place, Swannanoa, NC 28778.
