Obituary for Bill N. Turner

Bill N. Turner, age 88, of Asheville, formerly of Black Mountain, stepped into the arms of his Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 29, 2018.
Mr. Turner served in the Navy during World War II and The Korean War. He retired from ABF Trucking after 42 years of service. He was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church before his illness.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Logan and Bertha Watson Turner; three sisters and three brothers; and daughter, Susan Morris of Black Mountain.
Bill is survived by his wife, Sarah Judith Turner of Asheville; sons, Bill Turner, Jr. and wife Linda, and Steve Turner and wife, Clara; sister, Helen Jones, all of Black Mountain; stepchildren, Karen Blevins, Bruce Blevins, Glenda Conley and Mike Blevins; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 2, 2018 from 12:00 to 1:00pm in the chapel of Harwood Home for Funerals with a Celebration of Life service immediately following.
Burial will be in the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.
