Obituary for Billy Ray Ricketts Jr.
Billy Ray Ricketts, Jr., 56, of Black Mountain, passed away unexpectedly on May 19, 2018.
Billy was born September 17, 1961 in Florida to Billy Ray Ricketts, Sr. and Millie Parrish Ricketts. Billy loved life and lived each day to the fullest. He was always a free adventurous spirit that loved to laugh and have fun. He had a very loving and caring heart, and he never met a stranger. He was larger than life. Billy loved riding his Harley Davidson, horseback riding, camping, fishing, his Blue Heeler โBanditโ, and especially his sons and his brother.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Randy Ricketts.
Billy is survived by his sons, Billy Ray Ricketts, III and Cody Ricketts both of Black Mountain; brother, Barry Ricketts of Black Mountain; step father, Michael Brown of Asheville; aunts, Lois Parrish of Cary, NC and Martha Kennedy (Sonny) of Concord, NC; and cousins, Lee Parrish of Durham, NC and Tracy DeMar of Wilmington, NC.
The family will receive friends Thursday, May 24, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Harwood Home for Funerals.
A Celebration of Life Service will be Friday, May 25, 2018 at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will be in Green Hills Cemetery.
