Obituary for William Thomas Connor Jr.
William T. “Tom” Connor, Jr., of Fairview entered into Eternal Rest, Thursday, July 26, 2018.
He was the son of the late WT Connor, Sr. and Annie Warren Connor.
Mr. Connor was a WWII Coast Guard Veteran and a member of Biltmore Church of Christ. He was also a former member of The Mental Retardation Association of NC, former member of NC Developmental Disabilities Consumer Advisory Committee, Member of the Old Buncombe County Genealogical Society, and American Legion Post 2.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wives, Alma Cauble Connor and Frances Lewis Connor; daughter, Alice Connor; sister, Helen Keever, brother, John Floyd Connor and step-son, Brian Lewis.
Mr. Connor is survived by a daughter, Susan Connor; daughter who adopted him, Judy Lewis; grandchildren, Jason Tharp, Richard Clough, Daniel Lene, Dana Yoakum (Mark), Todd Lewis, and Amanda Gerow; five great grandchildren; and numerous great-great grandchildren; and adopted niece, Evette Borchich (Walter).
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at 3:00pm in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Fairview, NC.
A memorial service will follow at 5:00pm at Biltmore Church of Christ.
