Obituary for Betty Lewis

Betty  Lewis
Betty Lewis, 95, of Candler, passed away Saturday, August 4, 2018.
Mrs. Lewis was born July 23, 1923 in Rutherford County to the late Waldo and Maude Morgan Arnette.
She was a member of Hominy Baptist Church for 53 years where she taught Sunday school. Betty loved to sing and spend time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Fred Lewis, Sr; son, Rick Lewis; brother, Bill Arnette; sister, Ione Mace; and granddaughter, Kristy Laws.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Becky Moody; sons, Fred Lewis, Jr., Tony Lewis (Jolene), and Don Lewis (Sheila); 13 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at 11:00am at Hominy Baptist Church with Rev. Joe Yelton officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
