It is with great sadness that the family of Robert Vincent Dorsey announces his passing on Tuesday, September 18, 2018. Robert passed away at his home in his sleep.
Rob will be lovingly remembered by his wife and best friend of 43 years, Josephine Dorsey and his children, Vinny (Susannah), Robbie (Amanda), Chris and Joey. Rob will also be remembered by his twelve grandchildren, Jeremiah, Jackson, Jorden, Jordan, Michael, Jasper, Aubree, Brooklyn, Jessica, Chase, Caleb, and Caden; his great grandson and joy of his life, Kyle and finally his sweet dog, Carley.
Rob was preceded in death by his parents, Vincent and Marie Dorsey and brother, Danny.
He will be forever missed by his sisters, Jane Dorsey Lagreca, Corrine Dorsey Fried, and Nancy Dorsey Beckans.
Robert was a native of Bellmore, NY and relocated to WNC in 1986. He retired from the Woodfin Fire Department as Volunteer Assistant Chief after serving over 20 years.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to support Josephine in her time of need. Donations can be sent to the Woodfin Fire Department.
