Eleanor Rosalee Robinson, 80, of Swannanoa, finished her earthly race and stepped into the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, October 21, 2018. Eleanor was a loving daughter, sister, and aunt, as well as a “mother” to many!
She worked for several years at Beacon Manufacturing and Charles D. Owen Manufacturing, before becoming a “nanny” to her nieces, Beth Ann and Laura. She was a member of the Swannanoa Heights Baptist Church for over 60 years.
She loved her family, her church, and her Lord. Though she was quiet and unassuming, the impact that she has had on so many lives is undeniable and will testify of her for the rest of time and into eternity.
She is preceded in death by her father, B.Z. Robinson, and mother, Mabel Pauline Robinson, nephew Jimmie Dean Robinson, as well as her older brothers Jimmie Daniel Robinson and James Benjamin Robinson.
She is survived by her sister Oleeta Marlene (Ben) Boone of Swannanoa, NC; brother Franklin Delano (Elaine) Robinson of La Marque, TX; sister Rita Arlene Gaddy of Weaverville, NC; sister Mary Elaine (Eugene) Hawkins of Swannanoa, NC; brother Hubert Lee (Brenda) Robinson of Black Mountain, NC; and “brother” Larry Bruce (Susan) Robinson of Swannanoa, NC.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 25, from 11am - 12pm, with the funeral service following at 12pm. Services will be held at the Swannanoa Heights Baptist Church. Pastor Bruce Robinson will officiate. Burial will be at the Sky View Memorial Park.
