Peter N. Carswell, Master Sergeant, USMC Retired, passed away November 17, 2018.
Peter was a decorated combat Veteran of Vietnam and he served 24 years active service. He served three tours and was awarded three Purple Hearts.
Peter is survived by his wife, Mrs. Kay Woody Carswell; daughter, Kelli Jean Kenner and husband, Rick Kenner of Oxford, NC; son, Keith Woody and wife, Melisa H. Woody of Orlando, FL; son, Ryan Woody of Ventura, CA; daughter, Kayla Woody of Old Fort, NC; brother, Patrick R. Carswell of Sun City, FL; sister, Sharon Carswell Tasciotti of Poughkeepsie, NY; six grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain.
