Condolence: Dear Wanda and Steve,
We wish to extend our sympathies to you and your family in the loss of your Dad. I lost my Dad April 20th, 2006 and I so miss him, but know that he is in Heaven. He probably is sitting beside the Jordan River right now. We love you Both and are praying for you during this time.

Condolence From: Linda Wheeler Wilson
Condolence: This man was very much a part of my childhood. I spent many happy and fun hours not only in the home, but the church, in singings, and revivals and just visiting other churches. He always treated me as one of his own daughters. Always very kind, friendly and respectful. I always felt welcome, and it never occurred to me that maybe I should go home for awhile. It was just the place to be. One of the highlights of growing up was when he built a swimming pool that was more like a large bathtub, but we thought it was olympic size! The little house he and Mama Jo built near the creek is still there just like it was many years ago, when on special nights we were allowed to "camp" there. Even with flashlights and a real doorknob that locked, I still don't remember if we ever stayed the whole night. I can still hear the trains going by and they seemed to be coming right up Patton Cove Rd and I was deathly afraid of them. I can remember him laughing about that. Then we could hear the Beacon whistle and know it was time for the big yellow school bus, and looking forward to the time when we could ride it like our older sisters. He was always so strong and tall in my eyes but yet gentle enough to tolerate a yard full of girls. He loved nature and I am sure that earth itself will miss his footsteps walking on it. I loved you like a second dad, Jr and thank you for always treating me like one of the girls. We know you are having a reunion with Joyce, and how thrilled she is to see you!!
