Obituary for Mattie C. Bivins (Warren)

Mattie C.  Bivins (Warren)
Mattie Bivins, 82, of Black Mountain/Nebo, lost her battle with cancer on Friday, March 28, 2014 at the John F. Keever Solace Center.
She was the daughter of the late Greenlee and Mary Parker Warren.
Surviving her is the love of her life, her husband of 64 years, Robert Bivins; two sisters, Betty Wright, of Asheville and Ann Keen of Smithfield.
A Celebration of life service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, 2014 in the chapel of Harwood Home for Funerals with the Reverend Andrew Parker officiating.
Burial will be private in the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
The family would like to extend a special “Thank you” to all the staff at CarePartners Hospice for the wonderful service they showed toward the family.
