Laura Mooring, 79, of Black Mountain passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2014.
Mrs. Mooring was born September 24, 1934 in Buncombe County where she lived all of her life.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Hillery and Ruth Miller Williams; husband, Henry Mooring; sister, Lillian Shook; and brother, Buster Williams.
Mrs. Mooring is survived by her daughter, Vivian Mooring of Black Mountain; sons, Phillip Mooring of Black Mountain, John Mooring of Black Mountain, and Robert Mooring (Judy) of Gastonia; sisters, Nora Stevens, Marie Gilbert, Joyce Ammons, Alice Stevens, Pam Brock, Debbie Pruett, Susie Allen, and Arlene Williams; brothers, Chester Williams, Floyd Williams, and Ted Williams; three grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, April 12, 2014 at 12:00 pm at Mountain View Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service time at the church.
