Obituary for Howard J. Bullerdick

Howard J.  Bullerdick
Howard J. Bullerdick, 86, of Black Mountain passed away Thursday, August 21, 2014.
Mr. Bullerdick was born February 1, 1928. He was an avid hunter, member of the NRA, enjoyed fishing, auctions, flea markets and gardening. Howard also enjoyed hunting in Whiteville, NC at the White Marsh Hunting Club.
He retired from Ford Motor Credit Company after 33 years of service and where he was a charter member. Mr. Bullerdick was a veteran of the United States Army, and a merchant Marine during WWII.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Dennis and Iva Bullerdick; wife, Marjorie Louise Wright Bullerdick; daughter, Ranette Brigman; son, Mark Gorde; son-in-law, Will Brigman; and siblings, George, Chester, Eugene Bullerdick, Ethel Mishler, and Wilma Clark; and uncle Bug (Elroy Edmonds).
Howard is survived by his children, Steve Owens (Dolly), Karen Gorde, Lisa Courtney, Jeff Bullerdick (Ann), and Bobby Bullerdick (Wynee); daughter-in-law, Gigi Gorde; 25 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and aunt, Ruby Edmonds.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at 12:00pm at First Baptist Church, Swannanoa. Burial will be at 2:00pm in the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday, September 1, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00pm at Harwood Home for Funerals.
