Obituary for Virginia Ruth McKalip

Virginia Ruth  McKalip
Virginia Ruth McKalip went to be with her Lord on December 17, 2014. She was born May 30, 1924 in Greenville, PA.
She graduated from Penn High in 1942. Attended Chicago Evangelistic Institute from 1944 to 1947. She was secretary in the Engineering Dept. of Chicago Bridge and Iron Co. in Greenville, PA for 29 ½ years, retiring in August 1983.
She was active secretary of Mercer County Christian Endeavor Union. She was an active member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Greenville, PA, where she was a member and teacher of the Gleaners Class, United Methodist Women Adult Choir and Administrative Board.
She moved to Leicester, NC in March 1991 and was a member of West Asheville Baptist Church, where she was active in the choir.
She was preceded in death by her fiancé, Gene Bly who was killed in WWII Milan, Italy; her parents, Frank and Dorothy McKalip; nephew, Daniel F. McKalip and brother, Richard W. McKalip.
Surviving are her niece, Cynthia Studenc of Black Mountain, NC; nephews, Doug McKalip of Washington, DC, Rick McKalip of Hadley, PA, Bob McKalip of Conneaut, PA, Jim McKalip of Meadville, PA; many great nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law, Louise McKalip of Conneaut Lake, PA.
The family wishes to thank all the staff at Greentree Ridge for their tender, loving care of our beloved Aunt Ginny.
Burial will be at Shenango Valley Cemetery in Greenville, PA at a later date.
