Bettie Davis Allen, 74, of Black Mountain passed away Saturday, March 7, 2015.
Mrs. Allen was born June 19, 1940 in Wilkes County and lived in Buncombe County most of her life. Bettie loved to shop and cook; she loved her church family where she attended Meadowbrook Free Will Baptist Church. Mrs. Allen retired from the Black Mountain Center with over 32 years of service.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Lema Davis; son, Timothy Lee Allen; and brothers, Doyle, Howard, and Ray Davis.
Bettie is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Edd Allen; daughter, Teresa Lovick; sister, Bernice Mundy (Carl); brother, Clyde Davis (Margie); precious grandson, Nicholas Lovick; and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Meadowbrook Free Will Baptist Church with Pastor Randy Stone officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.
