Obituary for Priscilla Anne Wolff (Davis)
Priscilla H. Wolff passed away peacefully at her home on May 16, 2015 in the company of family and friends.
Born in Athens, GA on September 1, 1942, she was the daughter of Rose Newman and Hugh Turner Davis. Most of her childhood was spent on a farm near Griffin. She attended school in Griffin and attended several colleges in Georgia before moving to Atlanta to begin her life-long career in the travel industry. She worked for an international airline and later for several travel agencies. During her travel career, she traveled extensively, including numerous trips to Europe and to sites in Peru and Asia.
She performed with several dance companies and theatre companies.
She moved to Hendersonville, NC where she met the love of her life, Alan Wolff. With Alan, she moved to Black Mountain where they bought a house at Christmount and lived happily for 22 years.
Her survivors include sister, Susan Davis, brother-in-law, Scott Russell of Atlanta; step-daughter, Lisa Wolff and her three sons, Zack, Jesse, and Ethan Kotel; and sister-in-law, Ruth Wolff, all residents of Colorado.
The family is planning a gathering for friends and family sometime in June. Memorial gifts in remembrance of Priscilla may be made to the public radio station of your choice or to the Friends of Buncombe County Library.
