Obituary for Covie Norton Dockery

Covie Norton  Dockery
Covie Norton Dockery, 84, of Swannanoa passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2016 after a long, courageous battle with cancer.
Mrs. Dockery was born April 30, 1932 in Madison County to the late M.P. and Dora Buckner Norton. She was a loving mother and grandmother who loved the Lord. Covie will be greatly missed.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Dockery, son, Bruce Dockery, and brothers, JD, John, and Shadrack Norton.
Mrs. Dockery is survived by her sons, James Dockery (Judy) and Bryon Dockery; brothers, Roscoe and Frank Norton; grandchildren, Bruce Dockery, Billy Maynor (Lisa), Bryana Dockery, Jeffrey Willet, and Kim Dockery; and great grandchildren, Jaxson Maynor and Mason Willet.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, May 23, 2016 at 12:00 pm at Harwood Home for Funerals with Rev. Randy Gregg officiating. Burial will be in the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery at 2:00 pm.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
Grandsons and special friends, Brandon Flynn, Gerald Gregg, and John Russell will serve as pallbearers.
