Edith T. Haney, 76, of Black Mountain, passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2017.
Mrs. Haney was born July 2, 1940 in Buncombe County to the late Leonard and Clara Phillips Tipton.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Walter Tipton.
Edith is survived by her husband, John Haney; children, George Haney, Kathy Haney, Kimberly Propst, and Scott Haney (Leslie); eight grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, April 28, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Cherry Springs Baptist Church, Old Fort. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service time at the church.
