Obituary for Timothy Edward Bumgarner

Timothy Edward  Bumgarner
Timothy Edward Bumgarner, 58, of Black Mountain, entered into the arms of Jesus on November 27, 2017 at his home.
Mr. Bumgarner was born in Haywood County and moved to Black Mountain as a child. He was a resident of Wake County and Buncombe County for most of his life. Timothy was the store manager at The Mattress Firm in Asheville and was a member of First Baptist Church, Black Mountain.
Timothy is preceded in death by his parents, Morris and Opal Bumgarner.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Susan Bumgarner; daughter, Jasmine Bumgarner of Black Mountain; sisters, Penny Greene (Allan) of Black Mountain, Suzan Baker (Mike) of Telford, TN, Mitzi Cooper (Bill) of Jonesborough, TN, and Anita Allen of Jonesborough, TN; brother, JC Bumgarner (Lynn) of Weaverville, NC; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Tim had many loves in his life, including the Blue Ridge mountains, his beloved Tar Heels, spending time with family, his pets, and especially his Lord.
The family will receive friends Saturday, December 2, 2017 from 10:00 to 11:00 am at First Baptist Church, Black Mountain with a celebration of Tim’s life immediately following with Pastor Jeremy Shoulta officiating.
